The Texas Public Employees Association is a non-partisan, non-profit organization that has proudly worked on behalf of Texas state employees for more than 75 years. This model has helped us secure life-changing successes for our members — from establishing ERS and creating health benefits to securing pay raises.
This model will propel us into the future to improve our member’s lives.
Non-partisan
We don't choose sides or endorse candidates, but we do work across the aisle on behalf of current and retired state employees.
TPEA is not fighting for red issues or blue issues but for the well-being of the current and retired state employees who have made Texas a great place for all residents to live, work, and raise families.
This approach has helped us build consensus and achieve results at the Capitol, where we count Republicans and Democrats among our friends.
Non-profit
We’re not here to make a dollar but to help the current and retired state employees who have made Texas great.
Our members are not shareholders: We don’t distribute earnings to them if we have a “good year.” Instead, we fight for raises, benefits, and policies that will help them every year.
As a non-profit, TPEA is not permitted to make money from business operations unrelated to our core mission; that’s why we rely on dues to support our operations.
In this video, Ann explains more about what TPEA does as a nonprofit. Check it out.
Thank you for everything you do for the State of Texas.
