This month, we're celebrating an extraordinary milestone; 80 years of impact, advocacy, and unwavering dedication. For eight decades, Texas Public Employees Association has stood as a steadfast voice for public employees, championing fairness, opportunity, and respect for those who serve our communities every day.
What began as a small but determined effort by a group of TxDOT employees has grown into a powerful and enduring organization, rooted in the belief that public servants deserve to be heard, supported, and valued. From its earliest days, TPEA has been driven by a mission to advocate for policies enhance the pay, benefits, and pensions of state employees and retirees whose essential contributions make Texas great.
Over the years, TPEA has achieved countless milestones—each one a testament to the strength of its members and the importance of its cause. Through changing times, economic shifts, and evolving challenges, the organization has remained resilient and forward-thinking. It has worked tirelessly to secure better benefits, fair compensation, and meaningful workplace protections, ensuring that public employees and retirees are not only supported but empowered.
